Bedbugs are small, flat insects that feed on blood and thrive in the conditions found in hotels, etc. where they can hide in tiny crevices and travel from room to room. Some bedbugs here in Florida will even affect poultry.

Are they dangerous?: Bedbug bites are irritating, but there is no hard evidence that they can transmit any carried disease to humans.

Where They Nest: These pests can nest pretty much anywhere in or around your house. In the lawns, walls, stumps, in the ground under porches, around pools and even under foundations.

Reproduction: A female bedbug can lay 4-5 eggs daily.

Lifespan: A bedbug can live around ten months.

Hard to Kill: Bedbugs hide in mattresses, under the carpet, behind floorboards and even in picture frames. Over-the-counter remedies are not always effective.
